I rarely write negative reviews because I understand that people can have off days, and I prefer not to spread negativity. However, my experience with Tackle Eye in Griffin has left me with no choice but to warn others about the apparent lack of care and customer service at this business.

I visited to get prescriptions for contacts and glasses, and things began to go downhill from the start. My appointment took 2.5 hours because they had overbooked, and they didn’t have a trial pair of my contacts in stock. Although I was understanding about this, I requested they expedite the order since I needed the contacts in 10 days for an upcoming vacation. The doctor assured me they would arrive as soon as possible, but over the next three weeks, I called multiple times with only one return call. When I finally went in person to check, they told me the contacts had just arrived but insisted I drive to their Locust Grove location to pick them up if I wanted them that day.

Frustrated, I asked for my prescription and ordered contacts from a different provider. However, when I tried on the left contact, the prescription was completely off—I couldn’t see at all. I contacted my previous eye doctor, who confirmed that the prescription Tackle Eye provided didn’t align with my records and was likely a significant error.

Today, I called Tackle Eye to request an urgent correction, but they told me the earliest appointment would be in three weeks. As a school teacher, I needed a time that would fit my schedule, yet they made no effort to prioritize the correction of their mistake. Essentially, they communicated that my ability to see wasn’t a priority for them.

Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this location, as the staff seems unconcerned with providing quality customer service.

The Staff is top notch! Starting with the Ladies at the front desk, the Dr.'s, and Ending with the Staff in the Store!
At no time did I feel ignored or rushed, and I got all of my questions answered with real answers. I have used other Eye Dr.'s in the Griffin, GA area, and they can't even compare. Keep up the Great Work!!

I had never been to the Griffin location, but it was a change to see the main office. Dr.Gundhi was very thorough and so was her staff. Everyone was very helpful and kind. I am spoiled by going to the Locust Grove office, but this was a pleasant experience.

I saw Dr. Aburime for the first time and found him personable and knowledgeable and I did like him. The staff is always pleasant. However, 90 minutes past the appointment time before seeing the doctor is not reasonable and had me considering finding another provider. I’d rather not since I’ve been a patient there for at least 25 years. It appears the office is either understaffed, is overbooking, or both. As a former medical practice manager, this is a pet peeve.

For the Love of it

Really disappointed with this place. My mother went for an appointment for an eye injury and they prescribed her eye drops. Hours went by and they still didn’t send the script to the pharmacy. They gave the excuse that they were short staffed but they would call in it before they closed for the day. Well they closed and never sent the script in to the pharmacy so my mom has to deal with a painful eye without treatment because this place failed to do their job. Running late is one thing. Lying and stating that the script would be in before close and then neglecting to do so is unacceptable.

The staff was fantastic from checking in to checking out. The new doctor that I saw was very detailed and explained everything so that I could understand it. I will go to Griffin from now on instead of Locust Grove.
