Do not go to this place for an eye exam. Their business model is to use techs (remote and in person) to do the preliminary testing and then do a video zoom with a doctor. The techs are poorly trained. They either don’t know how to use the equipment/system, or the equipment does not work (e.g. the tech spent about 20 minutes trying to do a pressure test and then finally gave up and fudged the numbers in the system). Another tech said she had never done a remote contact lens exam on the system and could not figure out how to do it. Eventually, we were connected to a second tech who struggled, but was able to finish it (again, with some numbers fudged). They were 30 minutes late to even get me in the exam room and it took 2.5 hours just to get a prescription that was identical to my old one. Maybe someday this business model will work, but they are a long way off.

I found the folks at Artful Eye to be most responsive and helpful. I was visiting from out of town and just needed a minor glasses adjustment. They worked with me until the glasses fit properly. They also provided some cleaning cloths gratis. I would highly recommend their shop!!

Great selection but beware of pricing. I bought a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses assuming that the price would be Maui Jim’s suggested retail price. When I left the store I realized I paid over retail and when I questioned them, they said they could charge under or above retail price on Maui Jim. I’ve never heard that before. They offered nothing in return. Shame on me for not confirming the price before I purchased them.

Very poor customer service experience here. A store associate offered to adjust the arms of our beloved sunglasses, and instead the associate broke the entire arm off of the sunglasses as a result of her poor handling of the sunglasses. The sunglasses broke at the hinge, nowhere near where the adjustment was being made. Instead of offering to replace the sunglasses or make some other effort to resolve the situation, the sales associate, manager, and owner of the store offered us no solution to fix the sunglasses or resolve their mistake. They sent us out the door with a broken $200 pair of sunglasses--no solution or apology offered. This was very, very poor customer service and we will not ever shop with The Eye Gallery and Artful Eye and will spread the word to all regarding this poor experience.
