We don’t want this review to be one-sided so we will start by saying that the flavor and taste of the desserts Blue Owl bakery made for our wedding were amazing. Everyone was fighting over the shooters and the cookies.

However, the overall experience we had with them was less than great. First of all, even after communicating with them on the venues policies, their cake delivery crew arrived way too early and had to wait in the car for the venue to let them inside to set up. Our cake was also smashed on the bottom layer somehow. We didn’t notice until the cake-cutting. See the picture for details. We didn’t care too much because overall we liked the presentation of the desserts. But when something like this happens, the least Blue Owl could have done was letting us know that it happened. We can’t say for sure if it was the delivery crew who was at fault for this as we weren’t watching when they set up the cake. But knowing the venue and the photographers, we think likely this was the mistake of the delivery crew.

The Blue Owl made our wedding cake and it was both stunning and delicious. We liked how we were able to customize flavors on each of our different tiers. Our guests raved about our desserts and the carrot cake is phenomenal. Laura was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend Blue Owl to anyone looking for a bakery to make a cake for an event. They are easy to communicate with and affordable.

Today is my birthday. This morning I stopped to purchase some goodies for my mom. In a wonderful twist of fate, I was told about your cheesecake minis. They are just the right size and crustless. I'm gluten sensitive, and because you offer a gluten-free option, I was able to enjoy my favorite dessert of cheesecake for my birthday! Thank you!! (Didn't have any candles in the house, so we improvised with matches! LOL)

I've found my new donut place!!

Today was my first visit to the Sweet Shoppe & they did NOT disappoint! The hand pie crust is flaky & filled with cherries! 🍒
The Apple Fritters are the BEST I've had, hands down! 🙌. They're delicate & pull apart easily bc of all the apple chunks. 🍎
All the other donuts were tasty, fluffy, & large!

Highly recommended! We'll be back!!

I called 4 different bakeries and the blue owl gave me the best price for my 9 year olds custom stranger things birthday cake. It was short notice and they were still able to accommodate what I was wanting. Very happy with the way the cake turned out and the price. Will be ordering future cakes from here 🙂

I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten from here. The staff is always so friendly, the shop is so adorable, and everything is fresh and delicious. They're prices are good considering how fresh and delicious everything is. Their chocolate chip and gooey butter cookies are so soft and flavorful. The gooey butter cake is pure perfection. They have a chocolate cake which looks like a sin and it's tastes equally sinful lol . The cake was so moist and delightful. Donuts are always good and they have such cute fun handmade cookies as well.

Working with Laura and the Blue Owl Sweet Shoppe was a pleasure. I ordered a cake for a bridal shower I hosted on 8/22/2020. I began communicating with Laura in mid July, and she right away sent me ideas and pictures based on the style and theme I had described over the phone. We emailed back and forth to finalize all the details. Laura seemed as excited as I was about the cake! She was friendly, quick to respond, knowledgeable, and helpful.
The bride's favorite meal is dessert - and this cake went above and beyond. I received compliments on its' beauty as guests came through the door, and compliments on their way out about how DELICIOUS it was.
I really can't say enough good words about this cake or the experience I had working with Laura. She happened to be in the shop as I picked the cake up and was as pleasant in person as over the phone / email. I will continue to recommend this bakery with the highest praise!
