It's been 6 weeks since my initial visit, and I still don't have my glasses. During my initial visit, I asked the doctor if there were any vitamins or exercises I could do to help my vision. Obviously there are, but I wanted a doctor's opinion. He flatly told me, "no."

Uh-oh. I should've just left. If your medical professional exists solely to write prescriptions (especially ones filled in the building) maybe you should just leave.

I have phenomenal close-up vision, but the distance vision is getting sketchy.

The 1st pair of glasses were bad... unusable. They told me they weren't bad, and that I just needed to learn how to use them. They literally suggested I didn't know how to look forward. They did that with syrupy politeness, though.

They gave me bi-focals with "readers" for the lower bi-focal part. I can't see through them. I don't need readers. I can read the fine-print on an insurance form. With these stupid bi-focals, I can't read anything at any distance.

Again... I guess I don't know how to see. They suggested I'd learn. I think what they meant was that by staring through those stupid lenses, they'd damage my eyes enough so I'd need them. Dumb.

They then ordered different lenses which took a solid 2 weeks to get made (the 1st pair was just over a week) They told me they were ready, so DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, I showed up only to learn... oops... "they're being delivered to us today! Can you come back later?" We'd normally call that a lie.

Two days later, after being told they're ready AGAIN, I showed up to pick up my glasses and... oops, the lenses were shipped, but the frames were still at the *whatever place makes the lenses.* We'd call that another lie.

I was again notified they were ready again only to show up to be told... oops, they broke your frames at the *whatever place makes the lenses.* But hey, thanks for making 4 trips to our fancy office to get glasses we lied to you about telling you they're here. If you count the "not vitamins or exercises can help your vision, I think we're up to 5 lies. One is a mistake. 5 is on purpose.

It's been almost a week since I was told my glasses would be ready in "a couple of days." I haven't heard anything from Carlin since. I guess they're keeping my glasses for themselves.

I'm going to call my insurance company to have them refuse payment for failure to provide services. I think I'll go to WalMart next. I hear they have a much less fancy waiting room, but actually deliver glasses promptly.

On the other hand, if you like VERY expensive glasses, coffee & cookies in the waiting room, and invisible glasses, maybe this place is for you.
