If I could give ZERO stars I would. After 25+ years being a patient at Total Family, I left earlier this year completely dissatisfied with the care I was offered, or rather, not offered. It was brought to my attention about an hour ago, that my co-worker/friend had an appointment scheduled there today and due to a family emergency, she called to rescheduled and was greeted with a nasty response over the phone from the front desk. This person said she would be charged $100 to cancel (I understand that, but) and when my friend, I cannot afford that, is there a way to waive it due to this being a family emergency and this persons reply was- and I quote- 'YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT MY PROBLEM!'... that is despicable, rude, mean, embarrassing and shockingly unprofessional! This just solidified for me as to why I am so thankful my family and I do not use this medical facility any longer. I have referred all of my co-workers and local friends AWAY from Total Family. It's sad because I really liked the primary physician there, but she was actually the reason I left earlier this year...but now the entire staff leave so much to be desired. When it comes to medical care...we need good bedside manner from the initial contact...and all along the way. Save yourself pain and frustrations and look elsewhere.

I have been coming to this office for over 10 years, and have always been super pleased with Dr. Jakob and her bedside manner. I have always been especially happy with the fact that she is on board with me wanting to try holistic approaches before prescribing medications.
For my appointment today, I was told to pull in a spot out back, and sit in my car in 90+ degree weather like a plague patient wasting gas and polluting the air just a little more than usual. All because I have a cough. No fever. No aches. No chills. A cough.
I have never felt less cared about by a medical provider in my life. I understand there are high risk patients here as well as the office being small, but that should not make my health and comfort any less important. Have me check in from my car out front. When a room is ready for me, give me a mask and take me to the room. I will keep the mask on. I already don't feel well. Now my emotions are high and I am furious. Since when does my health not matter as much as the next person?
Jennifer came out to see me at my car, and listened to me as I was incredibly upset. She gave me a mask, and brought me inside. She "saved the day".
(As I figured, I have bronchitis.)

Dr was good But office staff was horrible when you get left on hold and hold that the patients in front of them are more important than the patients that are on the phone and you asked for a manager to call you back to complain and the manager takes over a week. And the manager is as incompetent as the staff because you’re already hysterical because you are you have depression problems you asked the nurse to talk to the doctor And He tells you OK you never get a call. You never get a message. All you get is a letter from the office telling you that you are no longer a patient would never go to this office again. I would never become a patient of this doctor or this facility.
