This place is an historic landmark here in San Diego. I've been a few times in the past just browsing through but it wasn't till after being referred to see Marlene from a friend and then being on the wait list for about a month, I can now see why Marlene and this herb shop is one of a kind. Marlene is impressively knowledgeable and intuitive. She is great at suggesting herbs and identifying what's going on with you. I am so thankful for the help she's given me so far in the last few months. I'm being treated for several issues but had this one issue I was especially concerned about and went to several practitioners who didn't resolve anything at all. I was getting really worried. With Marlene's suggestions, the problem is practically behind me now, thank GOD!!!!! Pricing is very reasonable and the location is easy to find with her very nice family that helps run the shop, Alyssa & Leanne. I've been to some of the top naturopaths in the city over many years and she is the best. Thank you.

I feel so happy that we have this Chinese Herb medicine shop in San Diego! It’s literally like a real authentic shop in China. They got everything I want and they pack each day’s herb in separate bags so I can use one bag per day, that’s so thoughtful. Their service is so friendly, I really feel welcome and being cared. Marlene really took the time to listen to what is happening in my body and asked very intelligent and thoughtful questions and saw my body as a whole. When explaining these same things to western doctors for YEARS they would hyperfocus on one diagnosis and try to treat that, ignoring all else. Marlene made me feel really listened to and started me on a course of treatment that I am confident in. She fully explained my condition and her course of treatment. She knows her stuff! Try to make an appointment though, she is quite busy and I am lucky she could she me on a drop in basis.
