Have taken my sister several times for eye exams and cataract surgery. Everyone has been extremely nice both on the exam side and the surgery side. My sister was very pleased with the outcome of the cataract removal on the right and looking forward to having the left side done in September ! We have always been in and out quickly, and treated with respect and caring.

I showed up for my first appointment at vision one told me I didn’t have an appointment rescheduled shut up for my second appointment at vision one which was actually my first had a 215 appointment Didn’t leave the waiting room until 330. It’s an hour and 15 minutes unprofessional and uncalled for the girl that did my exam was very polite. I told her my issue because I wasn’t happy sometimes that happens. So when I checked out the lady that took my $15 co-pay I explained to her when she set up my next appointment for 1 o’clock that I didn’t want to be 230 before I was seen very rude with me very snippy and asked me if I wanted the appointment You can’t take credit that you let people wait too. Look at your reviews. An appointment is an appointment 15 minutes maybe half an hour that’s improper scheduling that’s uncourteous to everyone involved besides the fact that if I’m late for my appointment, you cancel it and want to charge me for it but you can make me wait for an hour. Time is money too , how much would that Dr. charge me if he had to wait an hour for me? The doctor was very professional. Everything else was pretty good but when someone mentions to you a problem you have with your scheduling you shouldn’t get snippy with them Totally rude no apology for me waiting or anything. It was Not her fault and I shouldn’t come back is the way she acted? Probably the one that does the scheduling was her problem

Update my second appointment was much better in and out within an hour Way better than last time staff wasn’t quite so rude?

Went to Dr Patel and told him I needed a prescription for glasses. He examined me and wrote a prescription for glasses! Went to get glasses when finished. He had only wrote the prescription for one eye! So the lady in the glass department went and asked him to check my other eye and he told her to use the prescription from the ones that I was wearing! Ten year old glasses! Finally got them late in February! Started wearing them and March 2nd wound up in the hospital with vertigo! Guess what it can be caused by wearing the wrong prescription. I tried wearing them again today and the vertigo started again.

It might’ve taken a little bit of time to get to this point, but I am happy to report that my cataract surgery was a raving success. From the time I scheduled my appointment all the way through until I was released into the care of my driver, I was treated with the utmost respect. Everyone that I had to have contact with was very friendly and I felt like they really cared. There was one exceptional standout, and his name was Steve. Steve was the person who had to insert the drops into my eyes just before surgery. I also had contact with Steve the day after my surgery at the other office. He actually remembered me from the day before as being good about the eye drops. Steve was also good about alerting me to the fact that one of the eyedrops that I would be receiving would burn like crazy. At least he was kind enough to inform me ahead of time of the fact. So, thank you to the staff of Vision One in Deland, and also the staff of Vision One in Daytona Beach who arranged everything for me. I’m actually looking forward to getting my other eye cataract surgery done.

UPDATE: My second cataract surgery on my right eye has also been completed with all the same professional and friendly service as with the first. Thank you to a wonderful staff of aides, assistants, techs, nurses, and doctors for a job well done.

I CAN SEE once again.

This place was perfect for all my needs in glasses. Going in I was nervous not having worn glasses before. The amazing lady named " BELLA " was so welcoming, knowledgeable and so helpful in choosing fun but practical glasses for my face. She made me feel so welcome and made my experience unforgettable. OK. I went to pick up my glasses today. Bella was ready for me and greeted me again with warm professionalism. All my glasses fit perfect. I am so very pleased with the service, quality and care I was given by Bella. Thank you for helping me see life more clearly Bella.

The actual eye Dr's are amazing! They are super knowledgeable and professional. It's the office staff/glasses depart that are lacking. Everytime I called, no one picks up. Their answering message needs updating. It's been 2.5 weeks since my eye exam and no one called me notifying me that my glasses are ready. It took me to keep calling and finally I got through only to be told my glasses just got there..yea right. They need improvement on customer service and responsibility.

Vision One is 5 star all the way from the doctor straight down to Amy who fits you for your frames or your contacts. When I stepped in the office today it was something that I was dreading.The pair of frames that I had gotten was peeling through no fault of vision ones. Amy was kind enough to offer me a brand new pair of frames because the warranty was up on mine, At no cost I might add, she fitted me perfect she is amazing she will help you through-and-through. Right down to helping you decide what looks good on your face type she's very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my time here at vision one.

When I called for my very first appointment, I had 10 weeks of Daily Contacts remaining. I could not get an appointment for 8 weeks and thought, wow-this place must be fantastic! I was wrong. Came in for contact lenses exam, had preliminary eye tests and was then brought to exam room where I asked if I should take my contacts out. Tech says you have contacts in? Now we have to do the tests again. Proceeded then to get eye exam. Neither Tech nor doctor had my currents lenses in their computer database which are state of the art and I have been wearing for two years. They ordered my sample lenses and a week later I picked up and couldn’t see. Now I am down to one week of contacts and panicking. When tweaking they took me down to a level so low I could not see, was not a “tweak”. I called and tracked the deland optical gal in Daytona and she said she would order me samples asap of my original prescription which is what I wanted. Meanwhile I went on 1800contacts and ordered a years supply of what I wanted with a substantial discount. The doctors office did not offer this, even though my old doc in The Villages did. I called two working days later and asked about my samples, I also asked for a printed RX and asked them to return call to 1800contqcts to confirm my RX. Later that day I received a shipping confirmation from 1800contacts and as of this review have just received product. Please note: I have not received my sample contacts requested a week and half prior from this doctor. I had to wear a pair of contacts from 2020 for just today until I received my order. Not a word from doctors office that my samples to “tide me over” have arrived. I also purchased a pair of glasses for around $900. When they arrived I was not called but I happened to pop in that day (1 of 2 they are open in Deland each week). They could not find an eyeglass case to match and found me “another one” from another brand which was far too long for my glasses. Also no double checking fit at all upon pickup, she just handed them to me. I will never go here again
