I'm an infrequent optometry patient. However, as I'm aging I'm trying to ensure that my eyes remain healthy, so I had my eyes checked at Vision Theory. The doctor was very thorough, she checked my eyes for the refractive errors, took an image of my retina, examined my eyeballs to ensure they are healthy.

I use computer daily and at times my eyes get dry and my vision blurry. Dr. Makayed educated me about eye strain, taught me the 20/20/20 rule, checked on my tear ducts, and taught me how to keep them unclogged.

The office also has a good selection of styling glasses and sunglasses. I found a very cool modern sunglasses that unexpectedly worked well with my face and fit my style.

I would definitely recommend this practice as the doctor is very thorough, attuned, and responsive to the needs of the patients.

I have been a fan of Dr. Crowe for only the past few years, since I no longer commute for work to Silicon Valley. Dr. Crowe and his office staff are wonderfully kind and welcoming. I love the high efficiency electronic appointment scheduling and notification employed by this Doctor and his staff! What could be easier than a text?

Recently, I experienced separation of the membrane from back of my eye—another not so pleasant age-related rite of passage for which I was not prepared! I was away from home and frantic as I could not find a doctor to explain what was going on. When I returned home, Dr. Crowe did a thorough exam (he’s got some amazing new photographic equipment!) then described for me in detail what had happened and answered every one of my questions. He put all my fears and concerns to rest.

I recently moved back to Morgan Hill and needed a new Optometrist. I relied on Yelp & Google for reviews, and I'm glad I listened (for once, according to my wife. OK, twice if you continue to read this). Dr. Crowe gave me a thorough exam with 2 scripts for regular progressive and computer/work needs. I like high end frames and found what I thought I wanted online before I went in. The office staff showed me what they had in stock, but type A me insisted and they gladly ordered what I wanted. The gal that helped me, Ali, knew better though and ordered what would become my new favorite frame. The one I wanted came in that I liked, but then she showed me what she ordered and I was hooked. I had Zeiss progressive/photochromic lenses and all the add-ons produced by the Zeiss lab. Loved them, but ultimately that particular design was brutal on the bridge of my nose. No fault of the design - I'm just a wuss. Went back (2 months later), they made adjustments, still causing issues after a week, went back and they ordered in a selection of other frames from my new favorite Safilo, picked one that didn't hurt my baby-face, and back to Zeiss for a completely new set of lenses. When they came back - Perfect - I'm a happy dude now. But the real shocker was the price of the replacement -$0. Damn, thank you very much. So, here's my pay-back for the positive reviews that led me here. Skip the online glasses, other locals with less than stellar reviews, and go straight here. Oh, one last thing, the front office staff rocks, and thanks again for saving me from myself.
