I’ve used my insurance to purchase glasses here and get routine eye exams for years. The last two experiences have sadly made me not want to go back.

In waiting for an eye exam, I watched as another customer inquired about her own appointment. She had been waiting for almost an hour and came to find out that the front staff had not informed the optometrist that she had arrived. The customer left and the staff were not particularly concerned with righting the situation.

After my exam, I selected my purchase and advised that I also wanted new lenses in my existing pair of glasses. The saleswoman tacked on a lot of additional features which I had not requested, resulting an a significantly higher price than my insurance plan allowed. She appeared a bit miffed when I had her go back through the itemized order and remove the additional features. Once that sale was completed she completed the transaction without working to order new lenses for my existing pair. By this time so much time had gone by that I didn’t press the issue.

When I picked up the order the glasses were a poor fit so I requested to work on some fit adjustments. I was told they could not do any adjustment that day. When I asked when they could adjust the frames the response I received was “I’m not really sure.”

This year I decided to try again and see if I had better luck with the service. I walked in around 11AM on a Monday and was told I could look but they don’t sell glasses on Monday. They only sell glasses Tuesday - Friday.

Seeing as this is a business that’s sole purpose is to sell glasses I found this a pretty comical business practice.

Either they are woefully understaffed and/or the staff that they do have need a bit more focus on customer satisfaction.

I had my eye exam towards the end of 2024 allowing me to buy glasses with the last of my flex spending account with the intent of buying contacts with the 2025 flex spending account. I was give one trial pair of contacts that they said were the closest to what was entered for me that they had in stock. They didn't work for me, figured it was because they weren't the correct. I figured I would wait to ask for different ones closer to when I was ready to order the contacts. Today I went in to ask for a new trial pair before I buy a supply of them, but was told it was since it has been over 100 days since my exam that I can't get them. Thanks. I'll deal with my glasses that are past the 100 days I don't like, but I've never had an eye doctor not work me on finding correct contacts. Now I'll find someone to fix my old broken frames and use this new prescription. I'll find a new eye store to use my yearly exam and insurance when it is time to go again.

I don't understand why they open the store on Saturdays. We visited on Saturday to purchase frames, but the store representative told us they couldn't sell anything that day and we would need to return Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. If they don't allow purchases on Saturdays, it seems pointless to open the store at all on Fridays and Saturdays. It would be more cost-effective to close on those days and pass the savings on to customers.

3 Weeks and still waiting on my glasses. When you call you have to talk to some horrible automated system.

Edit: Week 4 and the automated AI said my glasses were shipped and there would be an update in 3-5 days again. So I asked to speak to a person(it doesn't say you can but I asked and it worked). The lady said my glasses were there. Who knows how long they had been there. No call or text to tell me they arrived and the AI system just gives out bad information.

I sent a complaint to the customer service email as suggested but I am not sure what good that will do. Fix your broken automated system or better yet, hire people to do the job. No one wants to speak to an AI.

I won't be back.

Worst customer service. Will never ever come back to vision works for any service. First time when we came to pick glasses, they could not give the glasses because a doctor is not there. Then why have you even kept the store open !!!! Came another time to give a form from school which needed to be filled. They said they will call the next day and never called. Today I went there after 2 weeks, no one to attend, then they found the scanned copy in the system but not the actual form. The lady I gave it to not even taking any responsibility, no effort at even looking for it. No one seemed to be bothered. It is so very frustrating that a store can function like this.
